HistoryThe temple was built on the site of ancestral home as per the wish of late Saraswati Devi by her sons. Saraswati Devi was a highly pious lady.
Special featuresThe temple was built after ancient temple architecture. There is a main temple (mul mandir) as well as a Nat Mandir.
Worshiped byWorshipped by temple priest twice daily. Morning puja starts at 11 am and evening puja starts at 6 pm. Temple remians closed from 1 pm to 4 pm. It reopens at 4 pm.
How to reachTravel by Train from Sealdah station(Calcutta)to Bongaon (takes 2 hrs). Take bus no. 96C from Bongaon and get down in Sashadanga (45 minutes in bus).
