Hi there is one main chardam(http://holyindia.org/temple_route_map/char_dham) and one himalaya chardam(http://holyindia.org/temple_route_map/char_dham_himalaya). If you are taking about himalaya chardam badrikedar etc. those will be opened may first week. Now it will be closed.

When the haridwar to gangotri yatra will be started for the year 2011. Kindly let me know the tour opertors available in Haridwar or in rishikesh to conduct the gangotri tour.

Haridwar To Gangotri is covered by National Highway 94 and 108. There are lot of spiritual places on the route. The route goes via Railwala, Rishikesh, Narendranagar, Chamba, Near theri dham, chham, dharasu, dunda, genwala, uttarkashi, maneri, maala, bhatwari, raithal, gangnani, sunagar, harsil, purga, dharali, lanka, bhaironghati.

Gangotri is well connected by state owned bus services. Many buses are available from Gangotri to Uttarakashi (97 km), Yamunotri (232 km), Mussoorie (250 km) and Tehri (167 km). Private deluxe buses charge about Rs 3 per kilometer while state buses charge less than Re 1 per kilometer.

Haridwar To Gangotri can be reached via rishikesh. Gangotri is located on the top of bahirathi river. The gangotri will be open only around six month in a year
